Giving Back

Bridgeway Behavioral Health

Bridgeway Behavioral Health

Each year at Christmas ABC “adopts” children whose holidays would be empty without our support. We rely on the generosity of our families to provide gifts for these less fortunate children. We take great pride in the response our families give.

Bridgeway strives to improve the mental, spiritual and physical health of the individuals in the St. Charles County Community. Bridgeway is recognized nationally and locally for its innovation and excellence, and has earned a national reputation as leader in the field of domestic violence and assault prevention and counseling services.

Crisis Nursery

The Crisis Nursery is the premier child abuse prevention program in the St. Louis region. Exceptional outcomes, including a track record that 99% of children in our program remain free from abuse and neglect, have set national and even international standards for child abuse prevention in other communities throughout the world.

They began as a respite care program for families dealing with unexpected crises; the Nursery now works to address the whole family, including parent empowerment training, community outreach centers located directly in at-risk communities, food insecurity programs, the Latino Outreach Program, and home and field visits. In 2016, the Nursery celebrated the opening of a new Outreach Center in Ferguson, in partnership with St. Peters UCC Church, to maintain a presence in the community following the unrest in the region in 2014. Perhaps most remarkably, in their 34-year history, they have protected and preserved the childhoods of more than 120,000 girls and boys.

Homes for Heroes

Homes for Heroes

Homes for Heroes® is a company that affiliates with Realtors®, lenders and other real estate-related service providers who offer substantial rebates and discounts to the Heroes who serve our nation and its communities every day. Our Heroes include military personnel, firefighters, law enforcement officers and others who make our communities a better place to live.

This program was created after the tragic events of 9/11 as a “Thank you” to the men and women who have given so much. Heroes across the country register on our website every day looking for the savings. We match them with Homes for Heroes® Affiliates in their area. Homes for Heroes® is now expanding its discounts beyond the home buying and selling process with our Friends of Heroes® program.

Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day is a campaign with the mission to end child poverty by funding programs that keep children safe, healthy, and educated. Through the power of entertainment, they bring people together to laugh and have fun, all while raising life-changing cash for the children that need it the most. Since their debut in 2015, they have raised over $230 million and have positively impacted over 25 million children in America, and around the world.

Sts. Joachim and Ann Parish

Saints Joachim and Ann Parish

The Parish of Sts. Joachim and Ann provide programs for individuals, families and children in the tri-county area of St. Charles, Lincoln, and Warren. Services are available for those who earn at or below 50% of the state median income. The work the parish does is heavily supported by the community with more than 100,000 volunteer hours per year in addition to donations of material, labor, food and monetary contributions.

ABC contributes to their efforts through canned food drives held biannually at all of our locations. These drives not only help provide relief for those in need, but also help to instill a sense of giving and philanthropy in our students, as they learn about the importance of sharing with those who are less fortunate.

Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. ABC joins in the cause to help women in need today through holding a special spirit week to help raise funds for research towards a cure.

By uniting as a community that recognizes the value of all women, we can work together to make sure every woman has access to education, screening, treatment, support, and hope, regardless of her circumstances.
